The Role

Parent and Family Support Advisor (Part Time - 22.5 hours per week)

The funding for this post is up until 31/03/2025 initially. This is therefore a temporary contract.

We are looking to appoint a part time Parent Family Support Advisor to start as soon as possible. This role is based at Ansford Academy, Castle Cary but deployed across the Ansford Learning Partnership (ALP) primary schools as well as the Academy. The postholder will work with both primary and secondary aged students.

This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with parents and families, to support children’s wellbeing and achievements in ALPs schools (one secondary school and seven primary schools). Based at Ansford Academy, the role is to work directly with young people, their parents/carers and external agencies to ensure all students have full access to educational opportunities and are able to overcome barriers to learning and participation. As a Parent and Family Support Advisor, you will advise and support parents ensuring their children attend school regularly and gain maximum benefits from education. You will also develop and provide knowledge of family services available in the local community and signpost to available support. We need a person or people who will have experienced in working with children and families and a commitment to transforming the lives of young people and their families to overcome the social, cultural and economic barriers to learning.

The Ansford Learning Partnership (ALP) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
